ACL 101 - Usability
User centred design (Usability) is about putting the users of your Web Project/Web Site first, understanding their mental needs and making sure any technology created is a good fit. Many organisations would not consider testing as they don’t have the
- Time,
- Resources,
- Expertise.
ACL 101 believe most unhappy users won't even consider visiting your Web Site again, they won't even give your company the time of day to fill in a feedback form. At ACL 101 usability testing involves observing users navigate your site and observing some of the following:
- What issues do they come across?
- Is it easy to find the information they need?
- This is repeated with multiple users, ultimately determining the majority of your usability issues,
- At the same time your organisation gains invaluable insight into your target audience’s behaviour.
After testing ACL 101 think you will start to see your Web Site or Web Project as others do, not from the hard work gone into its creation. You will then be able to find out if you’re Web Site or Web Project is any good.
